| The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the
knowledge, skill and competence to maintain and repair a range of sports
surfaces. On completion of the programme participants will be confident in
undertaking a range of maintenance requirements including scarifying, feeding,
mowing, carrying out a variety of repair activities including divotting, patching and
or plugging. They will be able to plan, prepare and set out areas for a range of
sporting activities while understanding the importance of health and safety in a
sports surface sector. |
