Programme Aim
The aim of this programme is to equip learners with the knowledge, skill and competency to achieve a QQI Level 4 in Plant Identification, Care and Maintenance. Our trainers are highly qualified with a vast background of experience, are educated to degree level and hold a training qualification. There will be a particular emphasis on skill development. They should be able to identify challenges and be able to comfortably solve them, both independently and within a group setting. Progression for successful learners will be to other Horticulture components at level 4 standard. The skills achieved on this programme may also assist entry to the workplace.

Specific Entry/Access and Exemptions Requirements
A learner seeking entry to a programme leading to awards at level 4 does not need a previous formal qualification. HCT would highly recommend that learners have achieved some certification at Level 3 or have relevant work/life experience.
